Knxwledge "Buttrskotch-LR023" Beat TAPE

I love BEATS, and since I was lucky enough to grow up during a time cassette tapes were the status quo, it should come as no surprise that I love TAPES.  Furthermore, I've grown very fond of a beatsmith by the name of Knxwledge who I believe is the most unique and innovative beat maker working today (next to Madlib of course).  No wonder I flipped when i heard that Knxwledge had thrown everyone for a loop (pun intended) and dropped a legitamate BEAT TAPE (on cassette)!  Peep... and be aware that dude has around 40 (Forty) releases on his bandcamp-good luck catching up.

9th Wonder & Buckshot f. Rapsody "Shorty Left"

This is the perfect beat for Buckshot, reminds me of some old Black Moon.  Looks like "The Solution" is something to look forward to.

Earl Sweatshirt "Chum"

Very dope track from Earl Sweathshirt of Odd Future.

Roc Marciano "Bozak"

I am really losing my mind trying to be patient for "Reloaded."  You would think gems like "Bozak" would hold me over, but I'm still shaking in anticipation since I heard the snippets on Amazon (below), which is all the proof I need that Reloaded is certified CLASSIC!  Peep for yourself...Can't wait to see Hip Hop DX have to finally drop a 5 star review, as any other rating would be a major fuck up on their part...

Sean Price (feat. Freddie Gibbs)- Remember

Shit, I remember like 2 years ago when I wished upon a star that Freddie Gibbs and Sean Price would collab.  Happy Halloween to me!  MIC TYSON is out, and this joint is only on the deluxe version.

P.S.- Freddie Gibbs in Chicago at Reggie's Rock club this Friday, November 2.  It's Gibbs Hoe!

Statik Selektah & JFK f. Termanology & Reks - "Brothers On The Run"

This track, "Brothers On the Run," is featured on the new Statik Selektah & JFK mixtape called #AGE: All Green Everything.  I've been telling people this for a while now, but if this beat doesn't prove that Statik Selektah is the only man worthy of taking on DJ Premier's legacy, I don't know what will.

Action Bronson- The Symbol (Video) 2012

Did I ever mention that I think Alchemist is a genius?  Well, he is.  He has always been one of the best Hip Hop producers in the game, but the quality and consistency of his latest releases is truly something that deserves recognition.  On the MC side of things, I can say the same for Action Bronson-'cept he hasn't been in the game for nearly as long as Alc.  The two have collaborated quite a bit so far, but Alchemist and Action Bronson are about to drop a collaborative project called "Rare Chaneliers."  Peep this new video, which I think captures Action's sense of humor perfectly...If you don't laugh at any point while watching this video, you may need to go get checked out.

Kendrick Lamar "good kid, m.A.A.d city" Album Snippets

Here are album snippets for Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" album...Even though these are snippets, I can say this... the Mary J. Blige track is standard Mary J. Blige (good, but forgettable).  On the other hand, "Collect Calls" is my new favorite song (next level shit).

Riff Raff "Rice Nation Vacation" video

It's time for me to take time to recognize a man, or should I say an "Icon," who deserves to be commended for single-handedly saving the rap game.  If it wasn't for the arrival of Riff Raff, I don't think Hip Hop would have much left...Thank You @jodyhighroller...

Ghostface Killah, M.O.P. & Pharoahe Monch – Black Out

I ain't gonna lie, I'm skeptical about this new flick coming out from RZA, but...don't ask me why.  I love martial arts films and I love RZA, I just think the preview is making "The Man With the Iron Fists" look alot like Kill Bill.  I hope it ends up being bad-ass and RZA takes over the game...I just have a bad feeling.  Regardless, the soundtrack is panning out to be something to be excited about.  Ghostface (favorite), M.O.P. (favorite), Pharoahe Monch (favorite) all on a track!  Produced by Fizzy Womack!

Doc Waffles "Ambulance Chasers" LP

If you wanna hear some dope Hip Hop music with a unique sense of humor...Here is Doc Waffles' new project, "Ambulance Chasers."  One of the highlights is "Wings Over Detroit," when SelfSays exlaims, "We Out Here!"  only to have Doc correct him by saying, "No we're not.  We're indoors."  Props to Eddie Logix for the solid production.  The album is available at Bandcamp at a "Name Your Price" fee.

Short Film featuring Flying Lotus Music "Until The Quiet Comes" film by Khalil Joseph

Flying Lotus is dropping an album Oct. 1, called "Until the Quiet Comes."  I must admit that I have not been able to delve into Lotus' catalog as much as I wish, as I have been much too busy.  However, this short film by Khalil Joseph "Until the Quiet Comes" that was just released, which features music from Flying Lotus' upcoming project has me all ears.  Very powerful stuff!

A$AP MOB "Lords Never Worry" Mixtape

The A$ap Mob prove themselves to be the new crew to worry about with ther new mixtape...I have to say this is some of the most consistently dope production I've heard on ANY project in quite some time.  Somebody in the A$AP crew knows how to pick their beats...The hypnotizing dark production is unique and fresh.  I gotta also give these dudes props for taking a new approach to doing East Coast Hip Hop...Shit reminds me of Capone N Noreago/Do or Die/Freestyle Fellowship and a whole bunch of crews from other regions all at the same time...Plus it's a FREE MIXTAPE!

Sean Price "Haraam"

Oh shit, it's P!

Elzhi "Blue Widow" Video

I'm from Detroit, so I was able to hear solo material from Elzhi back in the late 90s; before he linked up with Slum Village.  While he gained national exposure working with Slum Village, he was unfortunate enough to be working with the crew during a time that two of their core members died (Dilla & Baatin).  Nevertheless, he proved he could shine as a solo MC by dropping  last years Elmatic.  Finally, Elzhi is about to drop a project called "The Weather Report" which will be his proper debut.  With no need to worry about group politics, and his tribute to Illmatic off of his chest, Elzhi may have a classic of his own on the way...Peep the video for "Blue Widow"

Various Artists "Luv Ny" (produced by Ray West)

This album is a dream come true...Roc Marciano, Kool Keith, O.C., A.G., and Kurious going in over a collection of instant-classic beats from Ray West (Roc Marciano's go-to guy).  Yeah, Nas' new album is good, but this is fucking bonkers!!!!!  Drop everything you're doing and PURCHASE this shit immediately, or the world will probably fold in on itself.
